Recently an older gentleman brought a collection of Morgan Dollars into the store and said he was interested in selling them. After about 45 minutes, I handed him an appraisal form with a figure of close to $7000 on it. He looked at it, then looked at me and asked if I was serious. I explained yes that's the price I could pay and explained I had to make a profit. He laughed and said he didn't understand.  He was shocked it was so high! It seems he visited a coin shop in Las Vegas (2 hours away) and they had offered him $700 for the set. Needless to say he was very pleased and accepted our offer.
